FAULHABER’s BLDC motor range

Some core products EMS can supply to enhance your drive system include:

B-Micro

The sensorless motors of the B-Micro range offer high performance in even the smallest spaces. Two models are available, with diameters of 3 and 5 mm. As a result, the B-Micro motors are ideal for challenging applications where space is extremely limited. With a 2-pole design, the B-Micro electric motors support both medium and high speeds. And for applications requiring higher than the maximum output torque of 18 µNm, matching compact precision gearheads are available.

FAULHABER B

These ironless, slotless motors are built to withstand the most challenging of environments. Motors in the B range are characterised by their high precision, sensitive positioning control and long service lifetime. Diameters range from 6 up to 44 mm, with lengths of 18 to 90 mm. And its smooth speed control means that speeds of up to 100000 min⁻¹ are possible.

For high precision applications, standard digital hall sensors in the motors can be replaced with analogue linear hall sensors. The addition of analogue linear hall sensors facilitates enhanced positioning control. It also eliminates the need for an encoder.

BHx

Motors in the BHx series use 2-pole brushless technology to deliver high power in a compact size. Combining low vibration and noise with dynamic performance and accurate positioning, BHx motors are a suitable choice for a wide range of applications.

Two variants are available depending on the specific needs of the customer. Where high torque is a priority, the BHT variant is ideal. From a length of 60 mm, the motor offers a maximum output torque of 18.7 mNm. For applications requiring high speed, the BHS models are better suited. Two lengths are available, at 45 and 60 mm. Maximum speeds are approximately 100000 rpm.

BX4

Thanks to its 4-pole technology, motors in the BX4 range offer high speed and torque rigidity, with a long service life and compact design. A dynamically balanced rotor allows for quiet operation, with minimal vibration and low noise. As a result, the BX4 is ideal for use in sensitive markets such as medical technology, automation technology and robotics.

Four models are available. Smaller versions have a diameter of 22 mm, with larger models at 33 mm. Lengths range from 33 to 70 mm to suit a variety of installation spaces and application requirements.

BP4

Motors in the BP4 range offer an outstanding ratio of torque to size. Boasting a high efficiency of up to 91 per cent, these 4-pole motors are ideal for applications requiring high power from a compact space.

The smaller model offers a maximum torque of 59 mNm from a diameter of just 22mm. And the larger model offers access to even higher torques, with up to 158 mNm. Fully integrated analogue Hall sensors as well as matching encoders, gearheads and controllers are available for a customisable solution.

Selecting your drive system

To complement your FAULHABER brushless motor, EMS offers a selection of drive electronics for a customisable drive system. This includes a range of electronic controllers for speed and motion control, as well as precision gearheads.
